Graeme Souness believes that Christian Eriksen has mistakenly rated his national teammate.

Manchester United

Graeme Souness believes that Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund is not effective at all. He’s given his view ahead of Manchester United’s clash against Liverpool. Moreover, he believes that Christian Eriksen was wrong when he rated highly about his Danish teammate. He believes that Christian Eriksen’s praise for Hojlund is not worth it according to the Striker’s current performance. The Liverpool legend is not happy with the Denmark international forward. Moreover, Hojlund was injured in the opening weeks of the season and that has gone against him. People believe that the striker is inconsistent.

According to tbrfootball, despite having an average season at England, the young striker has performed reasonably well in the champions league for the Red Devils. He’s has 5 goals in 6 champions league matches for Man United in the champions league. However, he’s not performing the same way in the premier league. In addition to that, Man United are also in a bad condition this season. They’re at the 7th place. Moreover, they’ve just lost to Bournemouth. The top 4 is quite difficult for them as of now. In addition to that, they’re already out of the champions league from the group stage itself.

Graeme Souness believes that he doesn’t find Hojlund effective and that statement should act as fuel for Hojlund ahead of Liverpool clash.

Graeme Souness has put forward his views on the 20 year old Denmark international. He believes that the striker hasn’t been able to justify his £72 million price tag till now.

” Rasmus Hojlund arrived at United this summer. But he hasn’t been able to score for them in the league till date. I remember when his teammate Christian Eriksen was asked about him and he complimented the youngster. But now I believe Eriksen was wrong when he said Hojlund was “fast and aggressive”. I believe it’s that type of signing that was completely influenced about what was said about Rasmus Hojlund.” – Graeme Souness said.

Hojlund is most probably going to start against Liverpool on Sunday. He’s got a great chance to prove these statements wrong. Moreover, these statements can act as a fuel to boost his motivation. Let’s hope that the young striker steps up for the Red Devils on Sunday.
