Four players could leave Manchester United in the January transfer window

About Football Express UK

Manchester United are looking to stay busy in this January transfer window and four players are most likely to leave the club before the end of this month.

Anthony Martial, Donny Van De Beek, Jesse Lingard and Dean Henderson are the players who are not happy with their situation in the squad and are willing to relocate their future away from the Old Trafford stadium.

Manchester United in negotiation to let go of Anthony Martial in January transfer window:

Anthony Martial has already expressed his desire to leave the club in the upcoming window. And Ralf Rangnick has kept the Frenchman out of his matchday squad in recent games as he might leave in this winter transfer window.

Sevilla is reportedly showing interest in signing the 26-year-old on loan. But the United hierarchy hasn’t been entertained by the Spanish club’s proposal. Barcelona is another La Liga side who are interested in signing Martial in January and willing to make a swap deal involving Ousmane Dembele.

Therefore, Anthony Martial is most likely to depart at the end of this month. However, United’s interim manager has earlier stated that they are open to letting the Frenchman leave. But if the right offer does not come then they are happy to keep the 26-year-old in the squad.

Jesse Lingard is another player who could leave Manchester United in January transfer window:

The Englishman was promised at the start of the season that he will be involved in the first-team squad at the Old Trafford stadium by the former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. However, the Red Devils’ academy graduate is yet to make a start in the Premier League this season.

So, England International is not happy with his current role at the club. And he is desperate to leave the club in this transfer window. West Ham United was keen on signing the 29-year-old in the summer. And they could reignite their interest if an opportunity arises in January.

Donny Van De Beek:

The Dutchman has expressed his frustration time and time again due to the lack of game time at the Old Trafford stadium since joining the club back in 2020. Despite the poor display from the other midfield options. The 24-years-old is continuously overlooked by the United manager for some unknown reasons.

Van de Beek wants to be part of the Netherlands squad for the upcoming World Cup 2022. And if he can’t play regularly then he would want to leave the club in search of first-team football.

Dean Henderson:

The goalkeeper signed a long-term contract with the ambition to become the number one keeper at the Old Trafford stadium. But, the recent displays of David De Gea have kept him out of regular action. Therefore, he has become frustrated with his situation and wants to leave the club in January.
