Cristiano Ronaldo receives offers from the Middle East

About Football Express UK

A Saudi Arabian club has allegedly offered a bid for the Red Devils forward Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese star has expressed a desire to leave Old Trafford this summer. On the contrary, Erik ten Hag has stated that Ronaldo is in his plans for the new PL season.

United’s lack of business in the summer transfer window frustrated the five-time Ballon d’Or winner. Also their failure to qualify for the Champions League last season played a big part in the decision. Ronaldo was one of the only two players who tallied a goal score in double figures for the team. United would probably have faced relegation had Ronaldo not been there to save them from tough situations. He scored goals time and time again when the team desperately needed him. Like he has been his whole career, the former Real Madrid forward has never shied away from glory and is looking for some more glory with only a handful of years remaining in his career.

No club came forward with an official approach even though the star asked the club to accept a suitable offer if they receive one.

The transfer speculations of CR7 moving to Chelsea are probably dying down according to the latest reports.

Saudi Arabian club bids for Cristiano Ronaldo

However, according to recent reports, an Arabian club has become the first bidders for the 37-year-old. The report says that the unnamed side would bid in the region of £30m. This is more than what United paid to get him to Old Trafford. Over the two years of the contract, Cristiano will receive £210m. Agent fees probably will be £20m.

Cristiano Ronaldo hasn’t yet joined United for pre-season. He was allowed to postpone his return on personal accords.

The Portuguese forward has carried on his training and looking to stay fit to be at the top of his game. He is already a fitness icon, giving fitness goals to a lot of youngsters.

United are keen on keeping hold of Cristiano Ronaldo, who netted 24 goals in all competitions in the last season, until the expiry of his contract if possible. His sudden exit would leave United in need of a suitable replacement. It remains unclear who they would target at this stage. Paulo Dybala and Robert Lewandowski were probably mentioned as early alternatives.
