Aston Villa has set a price tag of 20M for Carney Chukwuemeka. Chukwuemeka is one of the most sought-after youngsters in the Premier League. Aston Villa initially wanted to invest in Chukwuemeka and keep him on their side. However, there has been some trouble on their end as they have not made any headway with his contract.
Villa has seen the situation and has realized that Chukwuemeka could be leaving on free if the situation continues. Hence, They have put a 20M price for Chukwuemeka so that interested clubs can buy him. There are rumors that Manchester City and Manchester United have shown interest. While Newcastle and Barcelona are viewing a potential transfer as well.
Chukwuemeka has made his name as one of the hottest prospects after his heroics in the Under-19 European Championships. Chukwuemeka helped England clinch the title as he scored in the final and also was a part of the Team of the Tournament.
Chukwuemeka left out of Preseason
Ever since he arrived after the tournament, There has been speculation regarding his future at Aston Villa. Steven Gerrard has left Chukwuemeka out of the preseason as the rumors of his departure increase. Gerrard believes the best thing he can do is to allow the youngster to make a choice.
Gerrard said, “Carney’s yet to sign a contract offer that’s been in place for some time now, so I’ve decided that the best thing for him would be to continue his training program back at Bodymoor.”
This was not the first time Gerrard has moved in quickly regarding a player’s future at the club. Gerrard was very quick to finalize Philippe Coutinho’s loan deal into a permanent one. He also managed to get Robin Olsen on a permanent deal as well. Villa also managed to secure Diego Carlos for 27M.
