Cristiano Ronaldo considering Manchester United summer exit

About Football Express UK

Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo has considered the possibility of making a potential exit from the club this summer.

According to La Repubblica, Ronaldo could be leaving the Red Devils before the next season gets underway. The forward has second thoughts after the joining of new manager Erik ten Hag, the report stated.

The gaffer has begun ideating plans for the next season and Ronaldo is not too pleased with the project. His agent, Jorge Mendes appears to be looking for a solution for his exit.

The forward’s agent has already begun figuring out potential destinations for the next season as claimed by the report.

However, Ronaldo has previously heaped praise on the new manager for his achievements with Ajax. In an interview with the club, he said-

“What I know about him is he did a fantastic job for Ajax, that he’s an experienced coach,”

“We are happy and excited, not only as players, but the supporters as well. I wish him the best and let’s believe that, next year, we are going to win trophies.”

Ronaldo not in ten Hag’s Plans?

It would be ridiculous to let go off a player such as Ronaldo in the squad. Moreover, the gaffer is a huge admirer of the work ethic put forth by the forward.

Ronaldo amassed 24 goals in all competitions at the club level this term despite the dire situation of the Red Devils.

The Reds’ no.7 is certainly a part of ten Hag’s plans and would want him to be the centerpiece of his project. When asked in an interview if the player would be part of his plans, he said-

“Of course!”

“I expect goals from him”

Surely, ten Hag wants him to be a part of his project but friction may have been caused due to the project. Ronaldo would be open to listening to the gaffer over the new project before making an exit.

These are sensitive times for the Red Devils and they would not want another forward to leave this summer. Edinson Cavani and Anthony Martial have both departed the club making Ronaldo one of the only forwards left at the club.

United fans would hope this report is untrue and that the goal-scoring machine stays for the new season. Only time will tell what transpires regarding the future of the forward.
