Varane not happy about something at Man United, missed Tuesday training

Manchester United

Raphael Varane is not actually injured, he is unhappy with something at Man United. There are a lot of strange goings on at Man United.

Erik ten Hag is feeling the pressure, while poor performances won’t help his situation. Injuries are also playing a part, as is the club ownership uncertainty.

Yesterday, Raphael Varane missed the Newcastle game due to an apparent illness. We covered those claims here. However, in that article, we were not convinced that the Frenchman was actually sick. The timing just felt off – particularly with his weekend absence for ‘tactical reasons’.

Now, an insider has shed some light on the situation.

Man united defender not happy with the club

The news comes via Twitter/X account Insider United, who has previously deactivated his account from the platform over accurate team news leaks (that the club were not happy with), so this latest information could well be true.

According to the tweet, the United star is ‘not happy’ about something at the club, resulting in Varane missing the Tuesday training session at the last minute. Then, subsequently, the game.

We said at the time there was something fishy going in. This confirms it. Whether it was due to the fact he was bench in favour of Jonny Evans, or something deeper, remains to be seen.

I cannot help but feel Varane could want out. Perhaps he realises his body isn’t holding up like it use to

He only has one more chance at securing a big-money move to Saudi Arabia or elsewhere. With January just around the corner, it would make sense from a timeline perspective.

Hopefully, United insider’s sources have this one wrong, as losing another defender would be drastically-bad at this stage. Particularly our best one when fit.

The troubles are mounting for the Red Devils in what’s been our worst season in decades.
