Everton midfielder Dele Alli is under subject of speculation regarding a move away from Goodison Park this summer as an exit seems imminent.
The Toffees have accepted that Alli is one step away from leaving as a few clubs seem interested in him. It appears as though there may have been a twist in the transfer saga regarding Alli’s move this summer.
Initially, Alli was to make a move to Besiktas as all the parties reached an agreement for the transfer. However, it is understood that PSV Eindhoven are interested as well and the midfielder prefers a move to the Dutch club.
Alli one step away from leaving Everton
Dele Alli joined Everton this January in the winter transfer window but has been unable to make an impact. Moreover, due to the average performances, Frank Lampard has pushed Alli down the pecking order in the Toffees squad.
Speaking in an interview, Lampard confirmed the potential move of the midfielder this summer. He said-
“He’s very advanced to moving to Besiktas. It’s not absolutely done yet but it’s very advanced.”
However, Besiktas are confident that they will land the player at the club this summer on a loan move. It is understood that the two clubs have agreed on the loan deal and it has reached ‘very advanced stages’.
It is clear that Lampard did not count on him in the Everton squad and wanted him to leave. Moreover, a move to another club seems like a decent option for the player considering he wasn’t getting much gametime.
The midfielder will need to regain his form as he once maintained at Tottenham Hotspur, a couple of years ago. Now, Alli seems lost and has not been able to find his rhythm on the pitch under Lampard at Everton.
Moving to Besiktas this summer on a loan is certainly a wise decision for the player to regain his form.
