The Spanish club Real Betis is poised to sign the Spaniard and Manchester United legend David De Gea to make his stunning return to La Liga. Though the transfer window is closed, however Betis are not ready to wait until January to sign him. And since he’s a free agent, the signing of De Gea to Betis can happen anytime now onwards.
According to fichajes.net, “Betis’ need to secure a quality goalkeeper is evident. But, they cannot afford to wait until the January transfer window.
“The option of signing David De Gea, a goalkeeper with extensive experience in the Premier League and the Spanish national team, is very attractive for Betis.” And they also say that,
“the possibility of signing a player of De Gea’s quality at zero cost is an opportunity [Betis] do not want to miss.”
De Gea to Betis: De Gea is currently without any club since his United exit this summer. However, despite getting the lumpsum Saudi contracts, he kept on rejecting them as his top priority is La Liga. Hence, it’s evident why Betis are keen to sign him.
Moreover, another important factor is the salary. De Gea used to earn a whooping £375,000/ week at United. But the highest paid player of Betis, Nabil Fekir earns £112,000 which is far behind.
However, it is evident that he will have to take a huge paycut to join the Betis side.
So if salary and other terms are agreed, we may witness one of the world’s best keepers’ return to La Liga.
