Manchester United target could snub joining the Premier League club

About Football Express UK

Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot is considering snubbing Manchester United in the transfer window to stay with the Italian club this season.

Adrien Rabiot was linked with a move to the Red Devils earlier last week as United wanted to secure his services. However, it appears that the midfielder could end up staying with the Old Lady outfit as he could snub United.

The Red Devils were close to reaching an agreement with Juventus for the player for £15 million for a move. Now, Rabiot is considering completing the final year with the Serie A outfit and has put United in the backfoot.

Adrien Rabiot to snub Manchester United

Over the years, the midfielder’s mother, Veronique plays a vital role in the player’s move to clubs. However, relations between multiple clubs and Veronique have not been at their best due to many controversies.

Back in 2014, she had blocked the player’s move to Roma as she had a bust-up with former PSG manager. Moreover, now with United, the mother is demanding a fee that the Mancunian side do not feel too interested.

Rabiot and United have reached personal terms but the same is not the case with the mother. Her demands could see the move to the Theatre of Dreams being blocked and Rabiot could very well stay.

However, manager Erik ten Hag is still considering holding further talks with the player’s environment to reach an agreement. Transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano took to Twitter to confirm that the talks are still ongoing.

He said-

Manchester United are discussing Cody Gakpo internally, he’d love PL move – while talks are still ongoing with Adrien Rabiot’s camp. €17m fee already agreed with Juventus.
