Manchester united makes transfer plans due to injury concern

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has reveals that the club could sign a new left-back this summer after the injury to Luke Shaw.

The England international Luke Shaw picked up a injury

and it is feared that he will be out for up to two months, as per the club officials.

As things stand, Tyrell Malacia can be the one who can replace shaw.

While speaking to the media Ten Hag revealed that

the club could try to boost the left-hand side of the defence in the coming weeks if the right opportunity comes.

Erik Ten Hag in the press confrence said

“It can be (that United sign a left-back). I think we always have to anticipate on situations.”

If there are opportunities then yes, but it has to be the right player otherwise we have to deal with the current squad.”

United signed Shaw in the summer of 2014 from Southampton. Subsequently, fitness issues have been a cause for concern for the defender over the years.

Who can replace Luke Shaw ?

United has Malacia in their ranks. The Red Devils acquired the Holland national’s services last summer from Feyenoord.

In the previous campaign, the 24-year-old gave tough competition for a place in the team.

Diogo Dalot can also be a temperory option until Shaw comes back.We have see Diogo Dalot playing at the left-back position few times.

 Lisandro Martinez can also be an option as he had also played at the same role during his time at Ajax.

United are also keeping an eye on Marc Cucurella, they see him as a like-to-like replacement of Luke Shaw.

The journalist Fabrizio Romano has comfirmed that Manchester United made contact with Chelsea to ask about conditions of Marc Cucurella deal on potential loan.

But nothing is concrete, both clubs are still negotiating.

Understand Chelsea are open to letting Cucurella leave on loan but only at their condition.

Chelsea want united to cover Cucurella salary and also pay a few amount as a loan fee.

United looking for LB opportunity but not too expensive.
