Lee Grant announces his retirement

Manchester United goalkeeper Lee Grant announced his retirement on Thursday, 26 May. He will be joining Ipswich Town as a coach. Grant has been a great servant to Manchester United as he was a great backup keeper. In fact, Grant was occasionally termed as the “best 3rd choice keeper”. Moreover, he was well-loved by fans and teammates alike, always known to be a kind and understanding person.

United is still in the race for Nkunku

Manchester United are reportedly ready to make an offer for Daniel Nkunku. Nkunku has scored 35 times and assisted 20 more times in 57 appearances for RB Leipzig this season. Nkunku’s amazing form has made him one of the hottest assets in world football. United are lacking quality forwards barring the exception of Cristiano Ronaldo. With Rashford out of touch and Cavani leaving in the Summer, United are without decent attacking players. United certainly cannot depend on 37-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo. Nkunku seems a great option as he can bring the quality United lack at the moment.

Nunez dream

Darwin Nunez dreams of playing for Manchester United someday. United are lacking quality attacking players at the moment and are in the market for forwards as Erik Ten Hag takes on the managerial role. According to sources, Ten Hag is a big of the youngster and intends to bring him to Old Trafford in the Summer. However, this seems difficult as United are not in the Champions League. Moreover, United are in a transitional phase under Ten Hag and Nunez may not have a cemented place as Ten Hag may try several different players. Although it is very likely Nunez will be able to cope with it and cement his spot in the team.
