Manchester United are yet to make any transfer this month. Despite this, the club is linked with many players.
The Red Devils have had mixed results with Ralf Rangnick but surely they will look to bolster their ranks.
The club has been scouting for a midfielder for a long time but has not found the ideal candidate.
Manchester United are tipped to sign these players before the transfer deadline
1] Franck Kessie
Kessie is out of contract with AC Milan at the end of this season. Manchester United on the other hand has been looking for a defensive midfielder for a long time.
The Ivory Coast international has become one of the best Serie-A midfielders over the years. He often sits behind to help the centre-backs and prevents counterattacks. Kessie also uses his physicality to assert or initiate the press. AC Milan has become title contenders with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Kessie playing a major role for the Rossoneri.
On paper, Franck is a really good transfer for Manchester United.
2] Ousmane Dembele
Dembele has had a very inconsistent career at Barcelona ridden with injuries. Manchester United wanted him even when he was at his best with Borussia Dortmund.
Dembele was at another level with BVB and was considered one of the best youngsters at that time. The Frenchman is very quick with the ball and can beat defenders easily. He is one of few footballers in current football who can shoot well with both his right and his left foot.
As of now, it seems very clear that Dembele will leave the Spanish outfit. However, this transfer is very unlikely for Manchester United.
Dembele is an injury-prone player and it will be very difficult for him to adapt to the physicality of the Premier League. United on the other hand has many options on the wing as well.
3] Antonio Rudiger
The defender has become one of the best defenders in the world since Thomas Tuchel took over. He has been a key part of Chelsea winning the Champions League.
Rudiger is solid defensively and also contributes offensively as well sometimes. Antonio is a great header of the ball and plays with great passion, he can easily replace Harry Maguire.
Antonio has not signed any contract extension with Chelsea to date. This transfer would make great sense for Manchester United however Real Madrid is also interested as well.
4] Declan Rice
Rice has proved his brilliance with West Ham over the past 12 months. He is a very versatile midfielder and can play as No 4 and No 8 as well. Declan is best in breaking up attacks and also is great in ball retention as well. Rice is a great passer of the ball and is very precise as well. His composure on the ball and quick decision making makes him a target for many clubs.
Manchester United will profit from this transfer but it is very unlikely this month. It would be a huge challenge for any club to sign him, let alone Manchester United because West Ham have given him a staggering valuation of £100 million.
5] Frenkie De Jong
The Dutchman first displayed his excellence at Ajax in 2018. Barcelona has profited from this signing. Frenkie has great composure and dribbling ability as well. He is also very versatile and can play as a box to box midfielder, defensive midfielder and holding midfielder as well.
Xavi regards him highly and has already stated his wishes to keep him.
However PSG, Bayern Munich are also interested along with Manchester United to sign De Jong.
