Pep Guardiola wants Amine Gouiri at Manchester City

Premier League player

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola wants Nice attacker Amine Gouiri.

The 21-year-old has a G/A of 9 in 11 in eleven Ligue Une matches.

According to Fichajes, Pep Guardiola wants to bring him but the club will certainly demand a lot of money. Nice bought Amine for only £6.5 million but might value him around £45 million.

This won’t come as a problem as they will not only buy players but also sell to generate funds.

Amine has a contract with Nice till 2024 and many clubs are monitoring him.

Is Pep Guardiola one of the best managers ever?

Pep Guardiola has been called a master tactician over the years. Ever since moving to Manchester City, his reputation has gone downhill.

He has been unable to win the Champions League with Manchester City and Bayern Munich. At times, indeed, the teams he managed were just not good enough. But even with the proper team, he could not win it.

In 2020/21, City reached the final where they ultimately lost to Chelsea. City fans criticised Pep’s decision of not playing their CDM’s (Rodri or Fernandinho).

However, wherever Pep goes, success follows. He has won everything domestically with Bayern and Manchester City. His most recent and impressive records come with Manchester City.

After Pep arrived, City has won the Premier League title 3 times in the last 4 years. The Cityzens won back to back Premier League titles.

They also won the title by getting 100 points. The Citizens have also broken the record many times for most goals scored.

Manchester City won the Carabao Cup for the last 4 years. West Ham knocked them out in the 2021/22 season on penalties.

Pep’s achievements with City are not even his best. His best came with FC Barcelona in 2008/09 when they won the sextuple. That Barcelona squad won titles consistently and battered every team for years to come. Messi under Pep was also unstoppable.

The FC Barcelona 2008/09 under Pep is considered one of the best teams in history if not the best.

It can arguably be said that Pep has never suffered hardships like Jurgen Klopp. Pep has developed players but also always has financial backing from the board. He does buy world-class players and also is perfect and smart in his way to playing them.
