Maximo Perron is getting closer to Manchester City after Pep Guardiola and Javier Mascherano discussed a contract. Fabrizio Romano asserts that City would finalize a deal for Velez Sarsfield star Perrone in the “coming days.”
Also, Guardiola reportedly spoke with Javier Mascherano, the head coach of Argentina’s Under-20 team, to get his opinion on Perrone.
Mascherano called Perrone for the 2023 South American Under-20 Championship. He is a great asset for Manchester City.
Guardiola tutored Mascherano at Barcelona during his career. A contract between City and Perrone is imminent, he has now chosen to follow his advice.

City not the only Premier League club linked with a move to sign Perrone. In addition to them, Newcastle too reportedly prepared a first offer to sign the Argentine in 2023, according to Velez670’s story from November.
Velez sporting director Christian Bassedas traveled to England in November to talk about a trade.
Furthermore, Perrone appeared to have been spotted by Newcastle as a true talent for the future. Manchester City are trying to acquire him.
Also, former Velez manager Gabriel Heinze praised Perrone as fantastic. A move to Europe appeared likely. In 33 games for Velez, the 20-year-old has already accrued 13 yellow cards. On top of it, Mascherano is undoubtedly a fan of his aggressive streak.
