Manchester City

After his heroics in Qatar, the World Cup winner returned to Manchester City FC as a hero, and when Pep Guardiola called upon him, he carried over that form while wearing a Sky Blue jersey.

This season, Alvarez has made six league starts and scored five goals. The South American has also scored at least one goal in each cup competition, including the Champions League.

The prodigy will need to fight harder to get more starts than the in-form trio of Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, and Riyad Mahrez, who all appear to be ahead of him at Manchester City FC.

According to Tyc Sports reporter Cesar Luis Merlo, the international player from Argentina will receive a sizable wage raise as a result of his contributions over the past several months.

The new contract will extend his current one year longer and end in 2028. It is unusual to see new contracts offered just months following a player’s arrival, but Pep Guardiola must be a great fan of the World Cup champion. Alvarez only joined Manchester City FC from River Plate in the summer.

Alvarez has appeared in 32 games for Manchester City FC this year. He contributed to three more goals and scored 10 of his own. That is not a terrible return for a player who is on the bench. But the Argentine forward’s star is anticipated to rise even higher in the years to come.

Football fans first saw Alvarez’s potential at the World Cup. Where the 23-year-old was a key component in Argentina’s third-place victory in Qatar. He is a great asset for Manchester City FC.
