According to Le 10 Sport, Liverpool want to bring in Leny Yoro despite opening contract renewal talks with Ibrahim Konaté. Le 10 Sport reports that the Reds want a promising young defender with potential who can be converted into a world class player. And the scouts of Liverpool have identified LOSC Lille defender Leny Yoro to be the one for them.

Liverpool transfer strategy and performance

The Reds sit at the top of the Premier League table right now above Arsenal and Man City. But the title race is far from over yet, the Merseyside club need consistent results to keep their lead. Liverpool were looking for a defensive midfielder this summer and tried to sign Moises Caicedo or Romeo Lavia. But Chelsea swooped in and secured both of these players, hijacking the deal. In response the Liverpool moved their attention towards signing French midfielder Khephren Thuram this transfer window in January. The Reds want defensive players in the midfield and in the backline for options in future. Bringing in World Cup winner Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai has certainly helped the Reds, but not in defense. Thus, they look to reinforce their defensive positions with Leny Yoro and possibly Khephren Thuram in midfield.
