Newcastle United is interested in several Liverpool players and is looking to sign them. As per Mirror, the Magpies are linked to bringing in a new striker. They could target Liverpool’s Divock Origi or former Reds forward Dominic Solanke.

Apart from Origi, Karius and Keita are also linked to leaving Anfield this month. Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp could be handed a few extra pounds to spend during this month’s transfer window as The Magpies look for a striker.

Newcastle United was taken over by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund in October. However, they have struggled in the Premier League this season securing only 11 points in 19 matches. They are looking to bring in new faces this month who can help them out of the relegation zone.

Newcastle’s star striker Callum Wilson is being ruled out for up to two months through injury. As a result, they are now said to be chasing a new striker with reports linking them with Divock Origi or former Reds forward Dominic Solanke.

Players in the transfer list

Liverpool wants to sell some of the players who have struggled to find game time this season.

Divock Origi:

Italian giant AC Milan was the favourite to sign the Belgian forward. However, Newcastle United has joined the are to sign him.

Origi started his senior career in Lille eventually ending up signing for the Reds for $12m in 2014. He went on to play 103 games for Liverpool scoring in 21 games.

Origi is expected to cost around $15m and Liverpool would be happy to fetch that amount by selling him.

Loris Karius:

Karius is also expected to leave the club in the transfer window. Karius was held responsible for the defeat against Real in the UCL final 2018.

As per reports, Liverpool’s Goalkeeper coach has told his continued presence at the club “doesn’t help anyone”. As a result, he is preparing to leave the club.

Naby Keita:

The Guinean international signed for the Reds in 2018 for approximately $50m. The 26-year-old midfielder has 64 appearances and has scored 6 times.

He has been an important part of Klopp’s midfield due to his capabilities on and off the ball. However, his injuries have been a source of major concerns.

La Liga giants FC Barcelona and Atletico Madrid seem to be interested to bag the midfielder.
