The Under European Championships comes to its conclusion on Sunday as Germany beat Portugal 1-0 in the final to be crowned the continent’s new champions. It was Germany’s third U21 Euro title. One can conclude from this tournament that there are a bunch of exciting youth in Europe awaiting to enter and play at the highest level.

Ridle Baku – Germany:

Jurgen Klopp already has one of the best right-backs in the world. However, speculations of Trent Alexander Arnold playing as a midfielder could leave the space to bring another world-class right-back. The 23-year-old German wing-back is known for his high energy and pace. He performed exceptionally well in the European tournament. Thus, helping his side to achieve the 3rd European trophy by scoring 2 goals and providing 3 assist in his 6 appearances.

Fabio Vieira – Portugal:

The 21 year old Portuguese might have finished on the losing side in the finals but he scooped up the Player of the Tournament award. Describing Vieira performance in the tournament the UEFA’s team of technical observers, Dusan Fitzel said

“A playmaker who creates a lot of chances. An excellent link between midfield and attack“. The 21-year-old possesses shades of Bruno Fernandes in his playing style. Liverpool lacks a true creative midfielder and therefore he can be the one filling those shoes for the Reds.

Florian Wirtz – Germany:

The 18-year-old German prodigy is already a regular part of the starting 11 for Bayer Leverkusen. The teenager is so-called the next Kai Havertz. Playing 2,700 league minutes last season the German midfielder provided impressive six league goals and a further four assists. Looking at his performance in the tournament one can say he is totally versatile player. His best asset is perhaps his outstanding technical ability. he’s great at operating in between the lines and picking up the ball in tight spaces inside the opposition’s half.

Liverpool will be eager to get such quality players in their squad before the start of next season. It will also provide a lot of depth to their squad.
