Leeds Have Signed Daniel James for £24m from Manchester United

Manchester United could be looking to offload Daniel James to Leeds this transfer Window. According to Fabrizio Romano, the clubs are currently finalizing the final fees and add-ons. Daniel James had previously been linked to Leeds United during the Winter Transfer Window in 2018. Daniel James had joined Manchester United during the 2019 summer Transfer Window. Since then the player has played for the club for a total of 50 matches. While at the club he has played on the wings as left and also a right winger.

During the 2018 winter transfer market, Leeds were very interested in signing the player. In the famous clip from the Leeds Amazon Prime Documentary. Daniel James could be seen waiting at the Leeds Medical centre for his former club to complete the legal matters. But sadly that move didn’t get fulfilled and the player next season joined Manchester United. Daniel James while in Manchester United played a lot of the games during his first season. But during the next season with the signing of Bruno Fernandes, there was a change in the system benefiting Bruno. Due to this Daniel James was pushed to the bench as well as with Mason Greenwood being pushed to the right. While the game involvement of Mason Greenwood increasing last season, Daniel James involvement reduced drastically.

Currently, Daniel James is valued at £16.20m according to Transfermarkt.

How would Daniel James move help Leeds in their Journey In the League?

Currently, Leeds have only two wingers who are Raphina and Jack Harrison. It feels that Leeds want to make this move permanent to have a reliable player on a cheap who can be important to rotate the squad.

Last Season the player started 11 games in the League and just scored 3 goals and assisted 1. He had a pass accuracy of 81% and made 0.7 key passes per 90 while completing one dribble. It must be stated that the player has started all games this season as a winger. During this season he has had 2.0 shots per 90 while having no successful dribbles this season.
