Jeremy Doku made his debut for Manchester City in their 5-1 win against Fulham on Saturday and the game also featured a lively cameo from Oscar Bobb.

Manchester City’s stand-in boss Juanma Lillo said the club are expecting “big things” from Oscar Bobb after the winger made a lively cameo on his first appearance for the club.

The 20-year-old was a late substitute in the 5-1 win against Fulham.

But he still managed to show some flashes of his quality and Lillo said the Norwegian had earned his role in the matchday squad.

Lillo is a fan of Bobb’s ability to take risks in a game but has called for patience despite his early promise in the first-team squad.

What Juanma Lillo said about Jeremy Doku

“We have great expectations for Oscar, he’s won his place in the side through talent.

He’s very alive on the pitch, very daring, he’s someone who can play on the inside and the outside,”

Said City’s assistant, who has stood in for Pep Guardiola as he recovers from back surgery.

“But we need to be calm, we need to give him his time and he has to be patient himself and give himself that time.

But it’s another great player we’ve got that’s come from the academy and we expect big things.”

“The reason we played him is he can play really well on the wings and today we didn’t have Jack,

But that’s not the reason he played, he could have played if Jack was available as well,” he said.

“If you’re looking at the way he’s played today, we lacked that fluidity as a team and

It was difficult to find him at times.

That was something we spoke with Pep about.

“We had a lot of players who were playing balls through the centre,

W

hich is something he can do as well,

But at times he wasn’t able to get as much of the ball as perhaps he could have.

He never stopped in that collective effort,

If he was playing for our team for a long, long time.”
