Fulham to sign £15m rated West Ham United defender

About Football Express UK

West Ham United have reached an agreement with Fulham to let Issa Diop join the Craven Cottage club this season in the transfer window.

Marco Silva had a decent start in their first match as they earned a point against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool. The Craven Cottage side impressed the fans with their display on the pitch which stunned the opposition fans.

Fulham are now looking to add a new player before the transfer window concludes as they reach an agreement for Issa Diop. Moreover, negotiations with West Ham had begun for over a month for the defender over a potential move this summer.

Issa Diop to join Fulham

West Ham have not had the start to their season as they hoped for after losing 2-0 to Manchester City. Moreover, Diop was not involved in the match against the Cityzens amid links of a potential move from the club.

Speaking in an interview, manager David Moyes spoke on Diop’s absence from the squad, he said-

“Issa didn’t put himself forward to play in the last couple of games, and we will see what happens with that in the next couple of weeks.”

Clearly, the gaffer was hinting at an exit and now he is set to join Fulham for the new season. Moreover, Diop has been unable to create an impact with the Hammers during his stint with the club.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the move as he tweeted-

Full agreement in place and new signing for Marco Silva.

However, the centre-back will hope and instill confidence in Marco Silva and cement his spot as a regular at Fulham. Moroever, Silva has been keen to bolster his defence and will be delighted to have secured the services of the centre-back.
