Chelsea on ‘Red Alert’ as Richarlison opens to Stamford Bridge move

Chelsea Fofana

Chelsea are on red alert over the possibility of a potential move involving Richarlison ahead of the next season.

Everton forward Richarlison is open to the idea of moving to Stamford Bridge ahead of the next season. The 25-year-old has flourished as a vital component for the Toffees helping them escape relegation. At Goodison Park, the attacker amassed 43 goals in 130 matches, in his stint with the club since 2018.

 A Good Deal for Chelsea?

After having dominated the European League and winning the club world cup, Chelsea did not continue their momentum this season. The attacking line was questioned for not scoring during vital moments as a result of which the Blues dropped too many points.

Romelu Lukaku, Timo Werner, and Kai Havertz have failed to deliver consistently and the gaffer has turned to the midfield for goals. A peculiar scenario that has cost the Blues dearly in defending their European glory this season.

However, Richarlison could be the solution to Chelsea’s attacking miseries. The Blues manager Thomas Tuchel has kept tabs on the Brazilian international vying for his services for the next season.

Given the experience in the English top-flight and his goal-scoring abilities, Richarlison could make an early impact at Stamford Bridge. The player has been in top form in recent times and could get better under Tuchel at Chelsea.

Undoubtedly, the forward would end up more productive with the blues given his attacking prowess. Chelsea would look to secure his services to add goals that would win them important points next season.

However, Antonio Conte’s Spurs are also in the race to sign the Everton forward and it remains to be seen if Chelsea would go all-in for Richarlison or look for other options. In any case, Richarlison’s exit from Everton means a boost to the club he joins considering the profile of the forward.
