Aston Villa is not keen to sign Luis Suarez despite the striker being linked to a move to Villa Park this summer.
Rumours have been circulating regarding a potential move surrounding Suarez to the English top-flight ahead of the next season. The Atletico striker, who is now a free agent is on the verge of joining a new club for the next season.
Moreover, reports have sparked off a crazy rumour that has suggested a potential reunion at Villa Park. The claims were that of Steven Gerrard’s Villa were set to secure the services of Luis Suarez for the next season.
However, talkSPORT reporter Alex Crook has dropped a major update involving the player. In an interview with GIVEMESPORT, the reporter claimed the club weren’t keen to sign the striker.
“I do know that one or two superstar names have been mentioned. Luis Suárez is of no interest to Aston Villa.”
“Signing Luis Suárez is obviously a lazy link there between Gerrard and Suárez, but I’m told that’s not one that they’re exploring.”
No Reunion at Villa Park
Suarez had been linked with a move to Villa to form a reunion, creating a lot of buzz.
Fans were eager to see Steven Gerrard, Luis Suarez, and Coutinho all work together again since the Liverpool days. However, it seems certain that the player will not be joining Villa Park next season and could be headed elsewhere.
Considering his age and level of play, it is only natural that the club did not go after the striker. Moreover, with Suarez entering the final years of his career, there is a possibility of a move to the MLS.
Steven Gerrard could turn to a young lad to reinforce the front line in the squad this summer. In any case, a reunion as such does not seem to be on the cards.
