Aston Villa gaffer Steven Gerrard expressed his love and support for Aaron Ramsey, Carney Chukwuemeka, and Tim Iroegbunam securing European glory for England.
The England trio made their mark and quite an impressive one against Israel in the finals of U19 European Championships. The national U19 side’s impressive journey helped the side win the competition and handed them, European Glory.
The U19 side’s initial half in the final was seemingly slow and endured a one-goal deficit during halftime. The inclusions of Ramsey and Iroegbunam from the bench in the 70th minute gave them a big boost on the pitch.
Eventually, goals from Callum Doyle, Chukwuemeka, and Ramsey helped them lift the U19 Euro trophy.
Aston Villa Trio to get chance in the First Team
The impressive and dominant performances did not go unnoticed by Gerrard and possibility of spots in the regular team may happen.
Steven Gerrard who was impressed by their campaign took to social media to post a picture of the trio. Fans have begun to speculate if the trio deserves a spot in the Villa first-team setup.
For obvious reasons, the young exciting prospects could be handed over spots in the squad under the management of Gerrard. Moreover, the admiration for the players by the gaffer could give them an edge next season to gain experience.
Villa could prepare a road map for their young sensations to groom them into becoming some of the top players. Fans are excited to see what’s to come in the future for the players.
A spot in the first team setup would be interesting as the young stars would add fresh legs. Moreover, it would only add a lot to the side as it would give them the depth required.
It remains to be seen if Gerrard adds them to the pre-season campaign ahead of the next season.
