Arsenal are reportedly very interested in signing Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo. However, Seagulls are also demanding 90 million for him.
Pundit Tam McManus has also called the demand of 90 million ridiculous. Hence, he has also warned the Gunners to stay away from him.
ARSENAL AND MOISES CAICEDO TRANSFER LINKS FULL STORY
According to reports, Arsenal want to sign Moises Caicedo in the next summer transfer window. This is also despite the midfielder signing a new contract with Brighton. The Gunners also tried to sign him in the January transfer window. However, the Seagulls rejected both of their bids. They also showed Caicedo’s importance by making him sign an improved contract.
However, the improved contract has not closed the path to Arsenal. A report also claims that Brighton are also open to sell him for the right price. However, a report in Football Insider claims that the transfer fee demanded from the Gunners is 90 million. Hence, Football Pundit Tam McManus has also advised the Gunners to not overpay for Moises Caicedo.
PUNDIT CALLS THE DEMANDS OF BRIGHTON RIDICULOUS
Pundit Tam McManus has advised Arsenal to stay clear of Moises Caicedo. He has also called the demand of 90 million transfer fee ridiculous. The potential 90 million fee would be a record signing for the Gunners. However, the Gunners will not easily pay the fee after their nightmare 72 million signing Nicolas Pepe from Lille. The winger is also currently on loan with the OGC Nice.
However, the big problem for Arsenal is they are struggling to get 20 million for him. Hence, the Gunners will now thinks twice before spending big money. McManus further said, “The money in England is absolutely ridiculous, unbelievable – £90million for a Brighton player. “I don’t think he’s any better than what Arsenal already have. “Thomas Partey and Martin Odegaard complete their midfield – Caicedo doesn’t play ahead of any of them for me, and then they have Jorginho too.
However, that being said, Arsenal have number of midfield options in the next summer. They are also keeping an eye on Sergej Milinkovic Savic and Declan Rice. Hence, it is clear that the Gunners will not pay over the their limit for Moises Caicedo in the next summer transfer window.
