Arsenal legend Lee Dixon is of that opinion that the club will not make a move for Declan Rice in the next summer transfer window. He has also praised the club for targeting Moises Caicedo.
Hence, the Gunners legend wants the club to sign the Brighton midfielder. He wants the club to use Declan Rice as a smokescreen to win the signature of Moises Caicedo.

According to reports, Arsenal are leading the race for signature of West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice. The Hammers are also open to sell him for the right price. This is because the contract of the England midfielder is expiring in 2024. Declan Rice is also not willing to sign a new contract as he wants to move to a Champions League.
Hence, a reports also claims that Arsenal are preparing a 80 million bid for the West Ham midfielder. However, the report also claims that Hammers will only sell him for 100 million. Chelsea and Manchester United are also monitoring the situation. However, the Gunners legend Lee Dixon believes that the club is using Declan Rice as a smokescreen for other midfielder target.
LEE DIXON BELIEVES MOISES CAICEDO CAN BE BETTER SIGNING FOR THE GUNNERS
Arsenal legend Lee Dixon has said that the club should try again to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton. Notably, the Gunners tried to sign him in the January transfer window. However, Brighton rejected the two bids. Hence, Moises Caicedo recently signed a improved contract with the Seagulls. However, a move to clubs like the Gunners, Chelsea and Manchester United is not ruled out in the next summer transfer window.
He has also said that Arsenal might be using Declan Rice as a smokescreen to sign another midfielder. He further said, “Based on the way the Gunners recruited so far I would suggest that they’ve got alternatives. It might be that Rice is a bit of a smoke screen, and they’re not really that interested. “I think he’s a really good player but I’m not convinced he will be at Arsenal next season.” He further said, “I’m a big admirer of what Brighton are all about and Caicedo certainly fits in at Arsenal.
Hence, it looks like everyone is expecting Arsenal to either sign Declan Rice or Moises Caicedo in the next summer transfer window. However, one thing is certain that the Gunners will have to pay a premium price for either of the midfielder in the next summer transfer window.
