Arsenal reportedly could have lack of options in the defence against Crystal Palace. The Gunners will also not take any risks on the fitness.

This is also because , there is an international break after the game. Hence, the break will help the injured players get back to full fitness.

ARSENAL HAVE LACK OF SQUAD DEPTH IN THE DEFENCE

According to reports, Arsenal defenders William Saliba is a serious doubt for the Premier League game against Crystal Palace. Whereas, Takheiro Tomiyasu is certainly not going to play. Hence, it looks like injuries have came at the wrong time. Therefore, this also means that they have lack of squad depth in the defence for the Gunners.

Hence, there is a chance that the Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will have to play Rob Holding in the center of the defence. This is because Jakub Kiwior looked out of the place in the first leg against Sporting. Hence, it looks like Arteta will select Rob Holding because of his experience of playing in the Premier League.

THE GUNNERS WILL HAVE TO TAKE THE GAME TO CRYSTAL PALACE

Crystal Palace made an announcement that they have sacked Patrick Viera ahead of the Arsenal game. This is also because the Eagles are winless in the year of 2023. They are also winless in the last 12 games. Hence, they were slowly getting drifted into relegation battle. Therefore, the owners had to pull the plug on the Patrick Viera.

Hence, Crystal Palace will hope that they can at least manage a draw against Arsenal. Therefore, as league leaders the Gunners will have to take the game to Crystal Palace. The Gunners are also aware that Manchester City do not have any Premier League game this week. This is because of their quarter final against Burnley in the FA Cup.

Hence. Arsenal have the chance to extend the gap from five points to eight points on the top of the Premier League table. The neutral fans also expect the Gunners to get the job done. Hence, the injuries to Saliba and Tomiyasu should not be a issue.
