They are asking for a transfer fee of over 100 million.
However, the Lazio stance could soften at the start of the next summer transfer window. This is because the midfielder has rejected multiple approaches from the Serie A giant to extend his contract. Hence, it looks like the Serbian midfielder is ready for his next step in his career. Therefore, Arsenal could successfully even get him for as low as 80 million. Journalist Pete O’Rourke has also said that the Gunners should focus on signing Savic and not Moises Caicedo.
JOURNALIST PREFERS THE SIGINING OF LAZIO MIDFIELDER OVER MOISES CAICEDO
Football journalist Pete O’ Rourke has said that Arsenal should focus on the signing of Sergej Milinkovic Savic in the summer transfer window. He has also said that Serbian midfielder is better option than Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo. The Gunners also tried to sign Moises Caicedo in the January transfer window. However, Brighton refused to sell him in January. Although, the Seagulls are now ready to sell him in the next summer transfer window for the right price.
However, they are asking a 80 million transfer fee for the Arsenal midfield transfer target. Hence, Pete has said that the Gunners should spend the money on the experience and quality of Sergej Milinkovic Savic. He further said,“He’s a top player, probably got more experience than him, has played at a higher level for longer than him as well, so would maybe be the more marquee signing than Caicedo, in that respect. Slightly different players as well, Milinkovic-Savic scores more goals and provides more going forward than Caicedo as well.”
Hence, it is clear that Arsenal will have lot of decisions to make on the midfield department in the next summer transfer window. However, the Gunners fans will trust the judgement of Mikel Arteta in the transfer windows. The judgement of Arteta has helped the Gunners rise to the top of the Premier League table this season.
