Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has finally got the green light to complete a move to Bayer Leverkusen. This is also after the Gunners agreed a fee with West Ham for Declan Rice.
Hence, the West Ham star midfielder and captain will replace the Swiss midfielder. The Gunners will receive 25 million for Granit Xhaka.
ARSENAL FINALLY GIVES THE GREEN LIGHT FOR THE SALE OF GRANIT XHAKA
Arsenal have announced the sale of Granit Xhaka to Bayer Leverkusen. The Gunners will receive a transfer fee of 25 million for the Swiss midfielder. Granit Xhaka will join Xabi Alonso at the Bundesliga club. There is also a possibility that the midfielder will start his coaching after the end of his 5-year contract with Bayer Leverkusen.
Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka did brilliantly for the team under Mikel Arteta. However, a return to Germany appealed to the midfielder. Therefore, Gunners also allowed Granit Xhaka to leave the club this summer transfer window. They were ready to offer him a new contract extension. However, they stopped the negotiates to facilitate his move easily to the Bundesliga side.
DECLAN RICE WILL REPLACE THE SWISS MIDFIELDER IN THE STARTING LINE-UP UNDER MIKEL ARTETA
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta already has the replacement ready for departing Granit Xhaka. The Gunners have agreed a mega deal of 105 million for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice. The England midfielder will join on a long-term deal. However, it is also clear that Granit Xhaka will leave the club with the good wishes and blessings of the fans.
The Swiss midfielder managed to play very well for Arsenal under Mikel Arteta. Hence, he won the hearts of the Gunners fans this season. The midfielder also played in majority of all the games. Hence, he managed to avoid getting injured. Therefore, Declan Rice will have a very big responsibility of replacing Granit Xhaka in the starting line-up.
Arsenal are also open to selling Thomas Partey in the summer transfer window. Hence, it is clear that Mikel Arteta is open to selling some of the favourite players of the fans. However, the Gunners have also agreed contract extension for William Saliba and Reiss Nelson.
