Arsenal defender William Saliba is reportedly out for 2 weeks due to a back injury. Hence, it looks like Rob Holding is going to get good game time.

The Gunners also have a very tough and hectic schedule after the international break. Hence, Mikel Arteta will have to manage the fitness of all the players.

ARSENAL HAVE INJURY CONCERNS IN THEIR DEFENCE

According to reports, Arsenal defender William Saliba is out for two weeks because of back injury. However, the lucky things is that he will not miss much matches. This is because international break is going on. However, the Gunners will miss Takheiro Tomiyasu for the rest of the season. Both the injuries happened in the Europa League loss against Sporting C.P.

Hence, it looks like Arsenal were hurt with the injuries more rather than the loss. Journalist Paul Brown has also said that Mikel Arteta needs to manage the minor injuries for the rest of the season. He further said,“I think they’re probably one defensive injury away from having quite a major problem. They will be sweating on the rest of the season and how it goes to make sure they can keep the rest of their key men in place.””

THE GUNNERS HAVE A DIFFICULT SCHEDULE OF MATCHES AFTER THE INTERNATIONAL BREAK

Arsenal have a number of tough games after the international. In the month of April, they will face the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea. Hence, many are also predicting that the title race will also have a clear winner after these games. However, they are also lucky. They do not have cup football and European football to deal with.

Whereas, their challengers Manchester City have FA Cup and Champions League matches. Manchester United also have the FA Cup and Europa League. Hence, the full focus of the Arsenal squad is to perform their level best in the rest of the Premier League matches this season. The Gunners are currently eight points clear at the top of the Premier League over second placed Manchester City.

However, Manchester City have the players to lower the gap on Arsenal. Hence, the Gunners will every match like a final for the rest of the season. Therefore, it is also important that they have all the important players fit for the rest of the season.
