Arsenal could reportedly have Gabriel Jesus available for the busy schedule of March and April. Mikel Arteta has also said that the striker is training well.
However, he is currently working alone to develop his fitness to train with the team. Hence, the upcoming weeks are very important for the Brazilian striker.
ARSENAL HAVE A VERY BUSY SCHEDULE IN THE MONTH OF MARCH AND APRIL
Arsenal have number of games on their schedule for the months of March and April. Hence, the schedule is busy for both the months. The Gunners are going to play 7 matches in 23 days in the month of March. Whereas, in the month of April, they will play in the knockout rounds of the Europa League. Hence, the Gunners schedule is busy despite their elimination from the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup.
Whereas, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has said that his team will have to maintain their performance levels to avoid suffering from busy schedule. He further said that the Premier League should also respect the schedules of the clubs in the Europa League. Hence, he has said that they should make same schedule for the teams participating in the Champions League.
MIKEL ARTETA WILL HOPE TO HAVE GABRIEL JESUS CONTRIBUTING DURING THE BUSY SCHEDULE
According to reports, Arsenal hope to have Gabriel Jesus available for the matches in March and April. The report also claims that he could make a comeback as early as last week of March. Mikel Arteta has also said that he has started training with the ball. He further said ,“He’s on the pitch, he’s been doing quite a lot of work on the ball already and so far his rehab is going well.”
However, Arsenal are yet to put an official date on his return. They maybe doing it to keep their title rivals in the dark about his recovery. However, Mohamed Elneny is out for the season. Whereas, Thomas Partey is likely to return for the next match. Hence, it looks like the Gunners will have their almost full squad available for the rest of the season.
Therefore, this is the best chance for Arsenal to win their first Premier League title after 20 years. They are also one of the contenders to win the Europa League this season. Hence, Mikel Arteta has not only one but two chances to qualify for the Champions League next season.
