West Ham vs Manchester City: Match Preview, Kick off, Team news and more

Bertrand Traore

West Ham take on Manchester City next in the Premier League. City need the win to hold on to their lead. City have a 3 point advantage over Liverpool as they enter the last couple of games. West Ham are in the race for a Europa League spot and need the win.

Manchester City have lacked a proper striker this season. This was evident in their Champions League knockout matches as they were unable to finish their chances against Real Madrid in the second leg. However, This changed with City signing Erling Haaland from Dortmund. Haaland is one of the best young players in the world and would easily fit into this City side. Haaland has an amazing goal ratio and this would only increase playing at City. It is astonishing what City have managed without a striker, If they had signed Haaland earlier this season, They may have been in the final of the Champions League. Moreover, They could have had a much better point gap in the Premier League however at the moment they need to hold on to their lead.

West Ham on the other hand have been brilliant under David Moyes. Moyes has transformed this side and they are a joy to watch. West Ham will be moving to this game hoping to end City’s reign and would be hoping to gain Europa League football. In competition, they reached the semi-finals and they would be hoping to go the distance in the next. However, They need the win if they are to keep their Europa League hopes up.
