Newcastle United have finally landed Alexander Isak from Real Sociedad in the transfer window this summer making it a club-record signing.
Eddie Howe was expected to boost the squad this summer in the window and has delivered just as the fans hoped. The Magpies have finally snapped up the services of Alexander Isak and announced it officially on Friday morning.
Isak is one of the most prominent forwards in recent times who has been at the top of his game. Newcastle are undoubtedly delighted to have secured such a signing as Isak does offer a lot on the table.
Isak completes move to Newcastle United
The cash-rich Magpies were expected to have a squad overhaul of their own making impact signings in the window. However, Howe and the management had not yet made an impact signing that could change the face of the club.
Moreover, the player too expressed delight on the move to Newcastle on the club’s website.
He said-
“I’m delighted to have it done. It was a big, big decision for me but it is a decision I am really happy with.
“It is a great, historical club that I think anyone would like to play for, with amazing fans. They were a big part of why I came here – and also the club’s project, which is one that I really believe in.
“You always want to go into a team and know how they play. I think Newcastle play very attractive football and I want to be a part of that.”
As things stand, Newcastle have made an impact signing with Isak joining the club. Moreover, it will be interesting to see what the Magpies make out of this season with the forward.
