About Football Express UK

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has dropped his view on the future of three players with the club in the transfer window.

Phil Jones, Brandon Williams, and Axel Tuanzebe are three players under much speculation of a move away from United this summer. The Red Devils’ gaffer has provided an update on the future of these players and whether they will continue.

The trio were linked to an exit from Old Trafford as they were unable to cement a spot in the setup. Moreover, it was uncertain if the new boss would count on the trio for the rest of the season.

Manchester United boss drops update

Erik ten Hag has always wanted a ‘revolution’ at United and since his arrival, this summer has made all attempts. Moreover, a squad overhaul of some sort took place at the Mancunian side with numerous exits and arrivals.

However, three such players were also in the mix to leave the club this summer in the transfer window. Phil Jones, Brandon Williams, and Axel Tuanzebe were touted to leave the club and join elsewhere this summer.

However, it is understood that the three players are on the verge of staying with United for this season. Ten Hag spoke in a press conference ahead of the Southampton clash and cleared the air on the player’s future.

He said-

“It can be but we are talking about players who are not available so I don’t think they will go out in this window,”

It appears that the three could very well spend the rest of the season on the sidelines under ten Hag. Moreover, the gaffer wants to build a new side and count on players he can trust on the pitch.

Considering this aspect, the three could be left out of the matches on most occasions this season.
