Liverpool have made an attempt to sign Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz in the transfer window this summer.
The Reds are on the lookout for a midfielder as it has been deemed to be necessary to stay at a competitive level. Jurgen Klopp has a list of players who could fit the role well at Anfield and one among them is Douglas Luiz.
It is understood that the Merseyside-based club have made an offer for the Villa midfielder as the window concludes. Liverpool will surely go all in for a midfielder before the transfer window concludes to bolster the squad.
Liverpool make offer for Douglas Luiz
Liverpool require some midfield reinforcement this summer if they are to compete across all competitions in the new season. Klopp has finally turned to the transfer market and is already on the lookout to bolster the squad.
According to Brazilian journalist Matheus Leal, Liverpool have a bid in place for the Villa midfielder to make a swoop. He said-
“Brazilian Douglas Luiz could leave Aston Villa for the Reds in the final hours of the window. Liverpool have made an offer of £20 million for the midfielder, who (would) welcome the change of team.
Aston Villa play hard and look to win (earn) a little more.”
The window is set to conclude on the 1st of September and clubs across Europe will give a final push. Liverpool too will make all attempts to reinforce the squad with a suitable profile before the window concludes.
Liverpool are also in talks with Arthur Melo from Juventus as the player is keen to join Anfield this summer. It will be interesting to see what the club could pull off in the dying hours of the transfer window.
