If Manchester City are penalized the same number of points by Premier League as Juventus as a result of the FFP violations, they will have a very difficult time qualifying for the UCL.
The shocking news that City, the defending PL champions, have been charged for breaking the league’s financial rules. That is between the 2009–10 and 2017–18 seasons broke on Monday morning.
A permanent ban is also a case. Although it seems much more likely that they will lose a big number of points if the accusations against them are found to be true. The Financial Fair Play (FFP) laws of the European soccer governing organisation Uefa were infractions, from 2013–14 to 2017–18.
And if Pep Guardiola’s team suffers the same 15-point penalty as Juventus in Serie A as a result of their own financial transgressions, it would significantly affect the Premier League standings.
With 45 points, the Cityzens are now in second place in the Premier League, five points behind unchallenged leader Arsenal. However, a 15-point deduction would reduce their score to only 30, placing them ninth and barely in front of Chelsea.

Manchester United, who would move into second place. Furthermore, Newcastle who would move up to third in the standings, would both gain from a hypothetical 15-point deduction.
Other winners would be Brighton, Brentford, and Fulham, who would all advance one position in the Premier League. The special Aguero moment will also be strapped.
The Premier League claimed City violated rules requiring them to submit “correct financial information that gives a truthful and fair view of the club’s financial status” in a statement issued on Monday morning.
