Southampton announces significant choice, with Manchester City player joining the team in a new position

Southampton has officially appointed Jason Wilcox as their new director of football. Wilcox will transfer from Manchester City. He first held a number of coaching positions there until becoming the academy director in 2017.

Furthermore, Wilcox, a former Premier League champion with Blackburn Rovers in 1995, has earned a stellar reputation in the sport. He is famous for running one of the world’s most effective football development programs, attracting and nurturing some of the top young talents. Furthermore, he has helped grow both in the Premier League and abroad.

Jason Wilcox and his Position in the Southampton management

Wilcox will be in charge of all football-related areas, including the men’s first team, academy, and women and girls program. He will answer to Southampton CEO Martin Semmens.

He will also be responsible for player recruiting. Furthermore, Wilcox 51, will join the team in the summer after serving his City notice period.
