Manchester United relished an impressive 2-1 victory over Merseyside club Liverpool on Monday in their third Premier League fixture.
Football Pundit Roy Keane was left impressed by Erik ten Hag’s United and their display on the pitch against the Reds. However, Keane is not the only one with this feeling, fans and neutrals felt the very same.
Moreover, the signing of Casemiro from Real Madrid has also handed the Red Devils yet another boost for the season. Ten Hag will hope to continue this sort of display and begin a ‘streak’ with United this season.
Roy Keane impressed by Manchester United
Manchester United did not quite have an ideal start to the season, in fact, they were nowhere close to it. After getting battered two out of their two games, United were under tremendous pressure to perform against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
However, ten Hag’s men quite comfortably dominated a bulk part of the match and looked immensely hungry to score. Impressed with the performance just like everyone else, Roy Keane had this to say in the post-match-
“It was a good vibe, good energy before the game. What I liked was they played great as a team.
Defensively, midfield outstanding, going forward they looked dangerous and they could’ve scored a few more goals.
“They deserve the victory and it was a big boost for the players. Before the game the manager made some big calls, some changes, kept [Harry] Maguire and [Cristiano] Ronaldo out, but they responded, they were excellent.
Quality, great commitment, desire and that’s what you want from any player, especially at Manchester United.”
Neutrals who followed the clash admired the high-intensity approach coupled with high pressing. Erik ten Hag will look to continue this momentum and bring the side, up the table.
