About Football Express UK

Liverpool have started off their pre-season and prior to the tour, the club announced the 37-man squad flying to Thailand.

The Reds have joined the camp in Thailand for the pre-season tour with 37 members in the squad for the matches. Pre-season are exciting yet intriguing times for players, especially for those from the academy as they would look to prove themselves.

Keen to prove during this time to eventually make the cut, the manager Jurgen Klopp will follow performances more closely. Amongst them is a 19-year-old midfielder, Tom Hill who has traveled with the squad for the pre-season.

Liverpool Youngster worthy of First-team spot?

The young Liverpool sensation who was part of the academy setup suffered ACL damage in between a training session in 2020. Disrupting the flow of his performances made him sit on the sidelines which eventually led to undergoing knee surgery.

Tom Hill has been an interesting prospect for the club considering his level on the pitch at such young age. Playing as a midfielder, the youth rose up the ranks in the academy representing the U18 and U23 with ease.

Hill has shown maturity on the pitch both on and off the ball which has fascinated many from the academy. Certainly, the player could be well-groomed under Jurgen Klopp and become the one to watch out for in future.

Recovering from the 20-month injury and being through all sorts of hell during that phase, exciting times seem ahead. Getting a spot in the pre-season squad for the tour, Hill will have a lot to prove to the gaffer.

Moreover, Hill will be pumped up to give his best and be excited to mark his return on the pitch. It remains to be seen if Liverpool use him in the regular season but depends on his performance in pre-season.
