Pep Guardiola admits that he ‘copy’ Jurgen Klopp as the Man City manager makes a prediction about Liverpool

Chelsea Transfer Guardiola

Jurgen Klopp has pushed Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola more than any other manager. Save for José Mourinho briefly during Pep Guardiola’s time at Barcelona.

Since the pair arrived in England in the middle of the previous decade, the two top managers in the modern game have frequently clashed.

While the rivalry with Mourinho deteriorated, the one with Klopp has always been characterized by respect; both parties recognize that the other plays fantastic football at the greatest level.

Additionally, Guardiola recently acknowledged how much he had gained from following Liverpool and Klopp over the previous several years. He predicted that the Reds will soon rise to the top of the league.

Pep Guardiola acknowledges Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool

“I learned a lot watching by Liverpool,”

The Manchester City manager made these comments during a press conference before tonight’s FA Cup fourth-round match against Arsenal.

“It’s the team I watched the most, for obvious reasons, because they were our biggest rival in the last years, and they’re going to come back sooner or later, knowing the club, and the manager, and of course, players they have.”

“I tried to copy some things if I feel it. If I like it, feel it, and can adapt with the players I have. Not because they have success, that means I’m going to copy and paste. No, no, no!”

Guardiola and Klopp have faced off 27 times, with Klopp coming out on top 12 times to Guardiola’s 10 victories. Games have finished in draws five times.

Guardiola has only defeated Klopp this season, with Liverpool defeating City in the Community Shield and the Premier League and Guardiola winning the Carabao Cup.
