Mikel Arteta

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is set to put all his faith in Gabriel Jesus next season. Amid reports that his revised summer transfer plan does not involve buying a new striker. Injuries have limited Jesus to only a few Premier League starts so far this campaign. While he endured a lengthy goal drought during the winter, he has rediscovered his productivity over the past few weeks.

What plans does Mikel Arteta have for Jesus in the near future

Arsenal are expected to strengthen their squad at the end of the season. Mikel Arteta’s side poised to return to the Champions League would help in many transfers. That has seemingly been enough to convince Arteta that he has all the firepower he needs up top.

Although Arsenal were initially expected to go all in on two expensive midfield recruits most likely to be Declan Rice and Moises Caicedo. The Spaniard’s revamped transfer plan reportedly involves one midfielder, two defenders and a winger.

The same thing happened at his former club and Jesus decided to jump ship last summer by joining Arsenal in a £45million deal. Although Arteta is poised to accept the Brazilian as his starting striker next term. There is a threat to his first-choice status could emerge from within the Gunners’ own ranks.

Other Arsenal rumours to watch out for

Arsenal are one of several teams in negotiations with Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Djibril Sow. He attempts to find a new club outside of Germany, according to various sources. Gravenberch is another one. He hasn’t reached the expectation levels at Bayern. He was an excellent midfielder for Ajax. His 35 million move to Bayern did not work out for him. He is exactly the type of player Arsenal are after.

Arsenal sporting director Edu Gasper may overcrowd 1 area of the pitch for Mikel Arteta if Moussa Diaby opportunity proves too tempting to turn down. Arsenal need a left footed winger. But Arsenal have many wingers in their team now. They need to sell players inorder to accomodate Diaby.

Rice’s deal expires next year, and while West Ham possess the option to extend his contract by an extra year. However, the player has made no secret of his desire to compete at the very highest level and to win trophies. Being young Rice could develop into a beast under Arteta. However, Thomas Partey has been one of the best Defensive Midfielders this season.
