Bacary Sagna advises Arsenal to not sign Wilfred Zaha

Arsenal

Bacary Sagna has said that Arsenal should not sign Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha in the summer transfer window. He will be available on a free this summer. It looks more likely that he won’t sign a contract. The former Arsenal star has said that the Zaha is too old now for the Gunners.

What Bacary Sagna had to say

Crystal palace have offered Zaha a new four-year contract. It was worth £10 million per season, according to The Guardian. The Guardian have reported that Arsenal and Chelsea are among the clubs who “have expressed interest in signing Zaha on a free. Zaha is an exquisite played who has experience playing in the Premier League.

Sagna in a recent interview said:-

“I don’t. He’s 30 years old and whilst I love the player a lot and have always been a fan, Arsenal need to be focusing on signing players around 23 or 24 years old.

There was a time when they were signing players even younger at 20, which is too young, but 23/24 is the perfect age they should be recruiting quality players at.”

Former Crystal Palace chairman has said that Wilfried Zaha is good enough for Los Blancos. Elsewhere, the La Liga giants have stepped up their efforts to secure the signature of Gabri Veiga. Zaha’s disastrous stint with Manchester United remains his only tryst with a top club so far, but he remains one of the league’s most dangerous forwards.

Simon Jordan reckons Wilfried Zaha could have played for Real Madrid. The Ivorian forward is in the final few months of his Crystal Palace contract and looks likely to leave Selhurst Park this summer.

Zaha has excellent stats for the Eagles this season across competitions. He has spent his prime years there and now would look to move on.
