According to Fabrizio Romano, Mauricio Pochettino has turned down the job for Aston Villa.

What’s next for Mauricio Pochettino?

After getting sacked from PSG, Mauricio Pochettino is still looking for a managerial job. Aston Villa are looking for a manager after sacking Steven Gerrard. In addition, Gerrard was sacked after just 12 match days.

Aston Villa are 15th in the Premier League table.

Some reports have claimed that Pochettino can be the next manager. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano who is the most trustworthy reporter in the football world. He has claimed that the Argentine manager does not want the Villa job.

He said,

“No changes on Mauricio Pochettino’s stance. Approached by multiple PL clubs, same answer as one month ago when he turned down Nice job: he wants to return at top level.

“Pochettino could also wait until the World Cup — it depends on the proposals/opportunities.”

The Argentine does have a fair point on why he is rejecting the job. From managing one of the top clubs in Europe [PSG] to managing a 15th-ranked team.

Mauricio Pochettino also led Tottenham Hotspur to a Champions League final.

Aston Villa will have to find a manager if Pochettino turns down the job.
