Manor Solomon to Fulham has ‘definitely collapsed’: Fabrizio Romano

About Football Express UK

Reliable football journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Manor Solomon‘s deal to join Championship winners Fulham has collapsed.

Manor Solomon has made a total of 26 appearances across all competitions this term. In this time he has recorded four goals and two assists. (stats via Transfermarkt) Reports earlier this year suggested that the Championship league leaders had a full agreement with the Israeli forward. But now reports suggest that deal is on the verge of collapsing.

The 22-year-old would bring a lot of Champions League and international experience. While he has also won a couple of trophies at a young age. Solomon played the majority of his minutes on the left flank. While he has also been featured as the number ten and as a second striker at times.

Serie A side Torino have early shown interest in Manor Solomon. While a TEAMtalk report from October claimed that Premier League sides including Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham, Everton, Brighton, Aston Villa, and Southampton are all scouting the 22-year-old.

Could Manor Solomon’s deal collapsing be the perfect opportunity for Arsenal?

Mikel Arteta is looking to add a new striker, a new midfielder, and a new backup left-back ahead of the summer transfer window. Arsenal look in pole position to land the forward in the summer. Shakhtar have placed a price tag of €15 million on the 22-year-old forward. Fulham had agreed on a deal with the club for around £7million. But Arsenal are willing to be upwards of €10 million. But they are not ready to match Shakhtar’s asking price. Shakhtar are willing to negotiate a deal for the left-winger.

Manor Solomon has been compared to Belgium star winger Eden Hazard. He undoubtedly has a great personality and a very high ceiling and potential. He could certainly be another brilliant attention to the young Arsenal frontline. The current Arsenal frontline consists of youngsters like Emile Smith Rowe, Gabriel Martinelli, Eddie Nketiah, and Bukayo Saka.

Despite the club missing out on Champions League football. The club are still planning to sign Gabriel Jesus, Youri Tielemans, and Aaron Hickey in the summer. Solomon could easily be another name on the Arsenal wish list. These signings could certainly help Arsenal to get to the next level and close the gap to the sides above them in the Premier League table.
