Marcus Rashford has regained his powers after the World Cup. He has proved that the Red Devils can trust him for the second part of the season. Manchester United are considering handing the No 7 shirt to Marcus Rashford.
The Cristiano Saga Before The World Cup
Cristiano Ronaldo’s interview with Piers Morgan last year before the World Cup set the Red Devils camp on fire. There was huge disbelief amongst the players. Ronaldo directly pointed out the flaws of the Manchester United management.
“At United, the progress was zero, in my opinion. To compare with Real Madrid and even Juventus, that they follow the rest of the world, so the technology, especially in terms of training, nutrition and conditioning, eat properly and to recover better than before – surprised me.”
“Manchester right now to compare with that club, I think it’s behind in my opinion, which is something that surprised me. A club with this dimension should be the top of the tree in my opinion and they are not, unfortunately. They are not in that level. But I hope the next years they can reach to be in a top level. I don’t know what’s going on but since Sir Alex Ferguson left I saw no evolution in the club, the progress was zero.”
It was clear that the Manchester United management won’t let Cristiano continue after this. Ronaldo himself left Manchester United during the World Cup after a mutual termination of contract and has now joined Saudi Arabia club Al-Nassr.

Manchester United, Marcus Rashford, And The No 7 Shirt
Marcus Rashford has rediscovered his panache ahead of Manchester United’s Premier League matchup with Bournemouth. The England international has been in sensational form thus far this year, scoring 11 goals in all competitions. And because Cristiano Ronaldo left the squad, the No 7 position is open, and his former teammate is a candidate to inherit it at the end of the season.
Rashford’s World Cup form raised eyebrows for Manchester United and Erik Ten Hag. He was the key member of the English squad though they lost to France in the World Cup Quarter-Finals. Rashford missed Manchester United’s recent match against Wolves because of disciplinary actions. His presence will boost the Red Devils to compete for the Premier League title.
