Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes wants a positive reaction from the team against Omonia Nicosia. United will look to bounce back from the derby defeat.
Manchester United still not good enough?
Bruno Fernandes said the team looks focused on the training ground after the derby loss. United players need to show more quality in big matches. United had a good run of matches winning against Arsenal, Liverpool, Leicester. But could not continue their form against Man City.
Speaking to the club media the Portuguese international said,
“Of course, everyone just wants to be playing again as soon as possible – we want and we need this reaction. And we have to show it [against Omonia].”
He added,
“That’s the most important thing – even if you do well in training, you have to show it in the games and I’m sure we’ll do it tomorrow. I think it’s always about that – getting a win straightaway and getting the confidence back. That’s the most important thing now.”
Manchester United will face Omonia Nicosia in Europa League on thursday. They currently sit second in the table behind Real Sociedad.
