Manchester United knocked out of Carabao Cup: Ten Hag takes responsibility for the loss.

Former Carabao Cup holders Manchester United are out of the tournament. They are defeated by the inform New Castle United. The Reds are already going through a bad phase in the Premier league as well as champions league. Moreover, this exit has raised concerns over Ten Hag and his future at the club. Seeing Manchester United knocked out at this stage is going to hurt their fans a lot. Especially when they are recovering from a 3-0 loss to Man City at their home itself. Moreover, this Carabao Cup exit has happened at the same place where they were thrashed by City. Yes it’s Old Trafford!

The home team went down in the 29th minute when Miguel Almiron opened the scoring for the guests. They couldn’t recover since that goal. Manager Erik Ten Hag has taken the responsibility for the loss. He accepts that the performance was not up to the mark.

” it is not a good performance. It’s below our standards. I take responsibility for it. But we have quality players. They are capable of turning the game around at any moment. We are now going to focus on our next match against Fullham.” – Ten Hag said.

The Manager believes that first the team needs to play the game irrespective of the result. This helps the players to gain confidence. That will, in return, deliver results for them.
