Manchester United interested in Chelsea fullback Marc Cucurella

Manchester United

Manchester United has displayed interest in securing the services of Chelsea’s full-back Marc Cucurella on a loan arrangement. Cucurella has encountered challenges during his tenure at Chelsea since his substantial £62 million acquisition last summer. As a result, he has emerged as a prospective solution for Manchester United’s full-back position.

Manchester United is in need of cover for the full-back position due to injuries sustained by Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia. Renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano has conveyed that United has reached out to Chelsea. That is regarding a potential loan deal for Marc Cucurella. The Blues have demonstrated interest in this arrangement. Contingent on the fulfillment of their conditions pertaining to the loan fee and wages.

Marc Cucurella’s trajectory could have taken him to the blue side of Manchester. Thus, considering the outcome of his tenure at Chelsea, he might now harbor a preference for that deal to have materialized. Hence, Manchester United might now be an option

City also expressed interest in the Manchester United target

Manchester City expressed interest in securing Marc Cucurella’s services during the previous summer. However, in an unusual turn of events, they withdrew from the potential deal upon discovering Brighton’s stipulated asking price. Now it seems like Manchester United might be the one to seal the deal.

Pep Guardiola was quoted by The MEN in August of last year expressing his frustration over the fact that he was prevented by the club’s board from securing the signing of the defender.

According to Marca, Marc Cucurella is purportedly showing interest in joining Manchester United. He had a lack of playing time this season for Chelsea. Coupled with new manager Mauricio Pochettino’s different approach, seems to have excluded him from the team’s plans.
