Manchester United are selling Casemiro, Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho. The Red Devils are offloading these expensive signings in order to make room for new players. Erik Ten Hag has decided to sell these players. Moreover, the coach wants to focus on principles rather than expensive signings. To be more precise, Ten Hag wants depth in his squad. He wants to do it with the existing players. The Dutch coach has been under pressure in recent times during Man United’s performance. However, a recent win over Chelsea has eased off some pressure over his shoulders. Furthermore, Sir Jim Ratcliffe will take 25% share of the Red Devils for £1.3 million. He has commented in the past times about United’s meaningless signings.
According to mirror, Sir Jim Ratcliffe wants the club to sign young players. He says so because the young players have a lot of potential and a good resale value. Moreover, they have a lot of room for improvement.
Manchester United are selling their trio due to performance issues.
Let’s get right into the topic of each of the 3 players we’ve mentioned.
First let’s talk about Jadon Sancho. The Englishman arrived from Borussia Dortmund for £73 million. But he’s not able to justify his price tag. Moreover, he’s not having a very good relationship with the manager and that’s out on public domain as well. His departure is more or less predicted.
Now let’s talk about Casemiro and Varane. Casemiro arrived from Real Madrid last August for £60 million. He had signed a 4 year contract. Moreover, he had a wonderful 1st season at the Old Trafford. People were expecting him to be a long term number 6 at the club. However, he hasn’t been able to repeat that performance this season. Because of this, he’s also up for Sale.
Raphael Varane is also on the same boat as Casemiro. He joined the Red Devils back in the summer of 2021. However, he hasn’t been able to stay fit. Because of this situation, he’s not able to deliver consistent performances for the club and is finally up for sale.
