Erik ten Hag

Manchester United made it eight wins in a row and 11 from the last 12 games. They beat Charlton 3-0 on Tuesday to book their place in the Carabao Cup semi-finals.

Since leaving Ajax in the summer, the Dutchman has shown a no-nonsense attitude when dealing with top players. Penalising Cristiano Ronaldo before to his departure and Marcus Rashford later when he disobeyed. The Manchester derby against City is the next match for United. They are in stellar form at this moment. Ten Hag’s team will fancy their chances.

The Red Devils are willing to compete with Chelsea for the services of Southampton’s flourishing right-back Kyle Walker-Peters. He has impressed since arriving on a permanent basis for £12 million after first joining on loan from Tottenham Hotspur.

Transfer rumor

The right-sided full-back position has drawn the attention of United’s Dutch manager. Ten Hag is undoubtedly fixated on bolstering the team with acquisitions that can lead the ascent back toward major trophies. The Theatre of Dreams last tasted success in a major competition in the Europa League in 2017, when United defeated Ajax Amsterdam 2-0 in the Europa league.

Diogo Dalot has undeniably improved on the right flank since joining for £19 million from FC Porto in 2019. However, Walker-Peters may hold the key to maximizing the intensity of the competition for the starting No. 1 slot in the team, thereby enhancing the game of both players.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is another option that is available for the Red Devils. Although he has struggled to establish himself as a starter after joining the team in 2019 for £50 million from Crystal Palace. Under Ten Hag, he has made just six appearances this season despite starting the last three Premier League games.

Walker-Peters has nonetheless been a rock of strength for a Saints team. The team is frantically attempting to avoid the prospect of relegation this season only winning three league games all year.

The 25-year-old has made 17 appearances this season across all competitions, scoring one goal. The defender is also impressive with his attacking and defensive prowess, averaging 0.4 shots per game, 0.7 crucial passes, 1.7 tackles, and 1.4 clearances.

it may turn out to be a wise decision overall. Walker-Peters is well-positioned to fit in right away and increase the team’s prospects of returning to the top of European football. All thanks to his Premier League experience.

The Dutch sensation would require a bid of roughly €55m (£48m) for his signature, and while he is an offensive right back he will have to work hard to displace a lot from his position.
